Lean Start Up was also entirely developed from a masculine and engineering point of view. Engineer's didn't get out of the building--so telling them to do that -got them out of the building. Fact is ANYONE doing product development in other spaces like FOOD, FASHION etc, always knew you had to talk to customers. DUH.

In addition, most of the Lean Startup stuff was written for and by engineers--aka men. Women in business were customer centric from the start. Proof? The next time to see a woman entrepreneur who started a huge communications company or dairy (me!), we of course went out to talk to customers and validate our ideas becuase we often lack the bravado needed to ignore that state in the first place.
